The Legend

Ancestrally, the Tumi was used as a ceremonial knife. In this semblance, we fused it with the tight relationship it has with the founder of Lambayeque's civilization, Naylamp. This founder's name comes from the Muchik language ant it means sea bird; According to the legend, he came from the ocean with its subjects, establishing that civilization. He made it prosperous. He then returned to the sea in his mythical form.
