Preserving the Art of Peruvian Filigree
Yares Jewelry celebrates one of Peru’s most intricate metalworking traditions through the work of master artisan Victor Yarlequé. Raised in Catacaos, a Peruvian community renowned for its jewelry craftsmanship, Victor learned to transform fine strands of silver into delicate, detailed designs.
His work preserves the precision and patience of traditional filigree while introducing contemporary forms that can be worn and appreciated today.

From Silver Threads to Wearable Art
Filigree is created by carefully shaping, twisting, and joining extremely fine metal threads. Each curve, spiral, and openwork detail must be formed with control and assembled by hand, giving the finished piece its distinctive lace-like appearance.
Through this demanding process, Victor creates earrings, necklaces, pendants, rings, and statement pieces that reflect the refinement of Peruvian silversmithing.
Tradition Reimagined
Yares Jewelry draws from Peru’s cultural heritage while exploring modern silhouettes, meaningful symbols, and versatile designs. The collection includes pieces inspired by Peruvian identity, nature, movement, and contemporary life.
Some designs combine sterling silver with gold-filled accents or carefully selected stones, creating jewelry that feels both culturally meaningful and modern.
Recognized Peruvian Craftsmanship
Victor’s work has been presented beyond Peru and recognized for its craftsmanship and design. His participation in exhibitions and jewelry competitions has helped bring greater visibility to Peruvian filigree and the generations of knowledge behind it.
Every Yares Jewelry creation carries that tradition forward—not as something preserved only for display, but as living artistry designed to be worn.
