Why alpaca
Alpaca fiber is roughly three times warmer than sheep's wool, noticeably lighter to wear, and naturally water-resistant. It contains no lanolin, so it suits many people who find wool itchy.
About Awki Alpaca
Awki Alpaca is led by Liseth Principe, who works with a team of artisans in Peru. Alpacas are shorn once a year, a process they need for their health, and every purchase supports the families who make these pieces by hand.
