AMAZON WAREHOUSE CLOSED FOR SMALL BUSINESSES DUE TO COVID-19 & NOW WHAT?!

Back in March, we received the stay-home order by Virginia Governor Ralph Northam. We had to ship to the Amazon warehouse. Preparing a shipment takes us a couple of days, but when I click ship NOW, Amazon had restricted us to ship because what we sell is a non-essential product. Amazon will accept shipments, only essential items only. Which it made sense, and just like me, we were thousands of small businesses impacted by it.

NOW, WHAT? All the items we were going to ship had to be changed to ship by the merchant, which means that WE will be sending the items. More work for us, YES, BUT at least we could continue to see some sales.

During the first two weeks, we saw our sales decrease by 30%, then Mother’s Day came, and we see our sales begin to recuperate, and it is gradually going back to normal.

Finally, this weekend and after over two months, we can ship our products to the Amazon warehouses. We are ready to send over 300 items to Virginia, New Jersey, Ohio, and California.

Soon more items from our new “Perú Gift Shop” project will be available at our warehouses. For now you can order alpaca wear, home decor, handmade jewelry and kids gifts are available to be shipped from our studio in Woodbridge VA.
